Manhattan Events CenterNew York City’s reputation as one of the liveliest Cities in the world has made it full of stores, restaurants, museums and attractions that cater to every age group and every interest. New York City is also home to many of the world’s wealthiest people, and they have made the City the center not only of glamour, but also of enterprise, business, and philanthropy.

New York City remains the center of philanthropy in the U.S. Its generous citizens and corporations have used this philanthropic spirit to stage fund-raising events in many of New York City’s corporate event spaces, like Manhattan Center.

Generosity behind the Glamour

Though it is true that New York is full of socialites, European nobilities, celebrities, and the rich and famous, their lifestyles include attending fund-raising galas, fashion shows and events that aim to increase awareness for many causes, whether social, cultural, or political. For example, Forbes lists Warren Buffett as a regular donor who has given away more than $46 billion since 2000.

Power in Giving

Power is a lot of things, it can be intangible, it can be influence, but often it’s all about money. There have been many discussions about the power of these donors, but it is undeniable that without their sponsorship, some causes may not receive the support and attention they need.

Many of the world’s wealthiest have raised enough awareness and education to push with their causes. These include funding educational and artistic scholarships to minorities and disadvantaged groups, as well as influencing politicians to support economic and environmental policies that will help the country.

What makes these influential people so inspiring is their drive to bring attention to their passions and inspire others to take action.
